In the midst of the crazy state of the world right now, especially in the political arena, do you ever stop to thank God that He is a benevolent ruler, that He really cares about His children and wants good for them? I am amazed at how many times Scripture says to thank God for His goodness. Specifically, it uses the phrase first mentioned in 1 Chronicles 16:34, "Give thanks to the Lord, for He is good; hHs love endures forever." So today's theme for thanksgiving is the benevolent goodness
of
the Lord.

house of the Lord, saying, “Give thanks to the Lord Almighty, for
the Lord is good; His love endures forever.” For I will restore the
fortunes of the land as they were before,’ says the Lord.
